About DYNA
VISIBILITY

Scientific journals are one of the principal channels of publishing and communicating research results, this has been the nature of DYNA since its first edition in 1933; its principal objective has been the publishing and communication of engineering knowledge, promoting the development of investigation and science to positively impact the academic community generating value for the knowledge produced by research.

For several decades, DYNA has gained great prestige and a large degree of influence in the scientific community, due to its quality and constant search to improve the scientific publication in its areas of interest and also that the published articles are widely known, read and cited.

Since 2007 DYNA has been selected for its scope in the products of THOMSON REUTERS and its personal information services, being indexed and featured in:

  • Science Citation Index Expanded (also known as SciSearch®)
  • Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition

DYNA is also integrated with SciELO - Scientific Electronic Library Online since 2006; SciELO is a virtual library for Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal and is implemented as a network in 2 areas:

  • Regional collections (SciELO Brazil, SciELO Chile, SciELO Cuba, SciELO Colombia, etc.), with centers of operation in each country and development initiatives.
  • Thematic Areas (SciELO Public Health)

SciELO Colombia is an electronic library that covers a selected collection of Colombian scientific journals of all areas of knowledge. SciELO Colombia has a National Consulting Committee, formed by the Colombian Administrative Department of Science, Technology and Innovation - Colciencias, Pan American Health Organization Colombian branch, the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and representatives of the editors. The library is part of a project that is being developed by the São Paulo Research Foundation - FAPESP in collaboration with BIREME - Centro Latinoamericano y del Caribe de Información en Ciencias de la Salud. The project FAPESP/BIREME contemplates the development of a common methodology to prepare, store, disseminate and evaluate scientific literature in a digital format. The portal SciELO.org integrates and provides access to the network of SciELO sites, searches can be made in the SciELO in all the collections or in a specific country.

IMPACT FACTOR

What is the impact factor?
The impact factor is a measure of the frequency with which the "average article" in a journal has been cited in a particular year or period. It is a tool to compare journals and assess the relative importance of a journal within a particular scientific field. Each year the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) calculates the Impact Factor for the publications that are tracked, these are published in a report called the Journal Citation Report.
